Current News....Relay for Life Successful!
The
Tabbs Creek Relay for Life Team had a very successful event, raising
$3957.43!
We had a great 'pet photo contest where the winners were determined by how much money the picture generated. If someone liked a certain picture, they contributed money in the drawer pertaining to that picture. We had several categories: most mischievous, best couple, cutest, and best dressed. Each category had a first, second, and third place prize. The first place prize was a free 20# bag of Pro Plan dog food or a free 8# container of Pro Plan cat food. The second place prize was a free Lupine collar of choice, and the third place prize wasa free bag of dog or cat treats. We also had prizes for the top three pictures that raised the most money overall. The top money raiser won a free nail trim a month for 1 year. The second overall money raiser won a free Home Again microchip and the first year of membership, the third place money raiser won a free Lupine collar and matching leash of choice. We were very excited about the participation and we hope that we will have even more participants next year. See more Relay for Life 2008 pictures.

These are our pictures from the pet photo contest. We had 35 entries and they were all very cute. Our winners were determined by how much money they raised.
ALSO at the Relay this Year...
We also sold pet luminaries for $5. We were very excited about this event because the luminaries were in memory or honor of a pet that had died of cancer or who is a cancer survivor. They were displayed at our booth on the day of Relay and we had a special ceremony in their memory.
